Empowerment Made Simple: 20 Thoughts to Change Your Life

I’ve found that it’s essential to examine your thoughts…often. Your thought-life dictates every single move you make. And, something as simple as a sentence – a really great thought that makes you have an “aha” moment – can change the way you think about your life. Because once you change your thoughts, you change your life.

Here are 20 of my thoughts that have made self-empowerment simple…

On Living Your Truth & Self Love…

Your breakthrough won’t happen if instead of focusing on your revelation, you’re fixated on your situation.

Learn to be in the ‘here and now‘ and experience life as it’s happening. Appreciate the world for the beauty that it holds, right now.

The same God that opens doors, closes doors (on purpose).

The closer we get to our truth, the louder our voice becomes.

The relationship you have with yourself sets the standard for the relationship you have with all others.

On Work & Leadership…

You can’t lead others until you can effectively lead yourself.

Nothing is changing for you unless you have the right mindset and strategy.

Everything in life that means something to you comes not by change or luck, but by your belief and hard work.

Your network predicts nearly every opportunity (career, platonic & romantic) you’ll have in life.

What are you doing to invest in yourself today? The moment you stop investing in yourself is the moment you write off future dividends.

The right word choice, delivered at the appropriate time, can travel beyond a mind and touch a person’s soul. Words are powerful. Use wisely.

Be obsessed with being useful.

(Would be nice but) People won’t promote you simply because you do good work. Your work won’t speak for itself.

On Making Conscious Decisions…

Make the kind of moves your children’s children will thank you for.

Consciously choose who and what you want rather than just making it work with whoever chooses you.

Stop letting doubt rob you of the life you deserve.

You are not grown until your actions meet your words.

Stop tolerating what is toxic. Successful people do not hang on to what is unhealthy, unproductive or unbeneficial for long.

Stop making yourself content with what is convenient.

Decide you want more.

Being consciously selective about what you fixate your mind on is supremely important to achieving your dreams, maintaining healthy relationships – with both yourself and others, prioritizing what’s most important to you, and retaining your sanity. Life happens, but having something thought-provoking constantly there to challenge you, to hold yourself accountable, and to encourage you is priceless.

Which of these empowering thoughts will you be applying to your life?
